Off The Press has a zero tolorance anti spam policy. Reseller and end user accounts will be immediately terminated if they send unsolicited email messages. If you believed you have have received spam from our server please contact abuse@offthepress.co.uk.
What is Spam?
Spam is unsolicited email also known as UCE (Unsolicited Commercial Email). If you are sending email to more than a handful of people who have not expressly agreed to recieve email communications from you, you are sending spam.
ISP and blacklist relations
Off The Press has build relationships with many ISPs and have been whitelisted due to our strict anti spam policy. If you are from and ISP or blacklist list provider and need to contact us please email abuse@offthepress.co.uk.
Off The Press resellers and end users
All Off The Press users (both resellers and end users) must agree to only sending permission-based email newsletters as part of agreeing to our terms and consitions upon signup. This means that all recipients sent to must have opted-in to receive communications from the sending organization.
Opt-ins can arrive from different sources, these include:
- Via a sign up form on your web site
- If a person signs up to receive a newsletter from your web site they are actively giving you permission to contact them.
- Having received the recipients business card
- By giving you a business card the contact is actively inviting you to contact them.
- Having dealings with the receipient within the last year
- If you have previously had business dealings with the recipient within the last year then you may email them corrispondance.
- Off line forms indicating the recipients willingness to receive email communication
- Paper acceptance forms are the same as online. As long as you have been given permission you may send out mailings.
You may not do any of the following:
- Send out a campaign to any recipient who did not sign up in one of the ways mentioned to the left
- As a reseller you can create accounts for all your clients and centrally manage them.
- Use any purchased list even in the recipients have opted-in
- Billing for Off The Press is simple . You only pay for the service when your clients use the system. The billing screen tells you what your clients have used so that you can up sell and invoice them for their usage.
- Add recipients manually via the admin control panel unless they have met the criteria mentioned above
- For each of your clients you can set them up with report only or full access. Choose report only if you are going to prepare and send out the campaigns on your clients behalf. This will give them restricted access and allow them to view only the reports screen. Giving them restricted access to the campaign reports screens only. Choose full access if the client is going to manage the whole campaign process.
- Email someone who has asked to be removed from your list
